'Use it or lose it' is a reasonable mantra for first aid, and this new option from the BCU Lifeguards allows you to retain your full Level One 8 hour qualification for another three years, but with a four hour evening refresher and assessment course. Specifically aimed at those who have previously done the BCU Aquatic First Aid course at Longridge, this option revises and replenishes your first aid techniques. A current first aid certificate is a mandatory requirement for all BCU coaches, as well as for Scout and Guide Leaders. Fridays 6pm to 10pm - so that way you lose no daylight paddling time!
