Activities: Bell Boating
Bell boating is a great activity for any age group but is particularly good for introducing younger children or inexperienced adults to a water activity which is very stable and great fun. As with all of our activities, they are designed for those 8-years and over, however with bell boats it may be possible to take out 7-year olds if accompanied by a parent.

Bell Boating
We have three bell boats and they are hugely popular for fun activity sessions and birthday parties. Our prices are based on a the maximum numbers that can paddle a bell boat of up to 10 young people or 8 adults - led by a fully qualified instructor.
Bell Boating can be a very useful means of coaching paddling technique, prior to undertaking a canoeing activity, as well as developing a team spirit.
Sessions last for 75 minutes and take place throughout the day and evening from April until end October.
The centre is able to offer courses, based on the BCU syllabus, for those leaders/teachers and instructors who wish to obtain a qualification to helm a Bell Boat. Go to courses to find out what we are running this year or ring Longridge to arrange a bespoke course for your group.

Courses
BCU Bell Boat Coach
A practical two-day course that will enable teachers and leaders to introduce young people to bell-boating. Must have a minimum of 8-people to run this course.
