We work with in-house professionals and external agency providers to produce comprehensive personal and team development programmes. If required, we will devise bespoke programmes that respond to the individual challenges faced by our corporate users, these can be as simple as giving groups a joint fun experience, or groups can work towards a recognised BCU or RYA qualification. For those on limited budgets we are able to offer the chance of carrying out environmental or maintenance projects on site.

For businesses looking to the Longridge Team to produce a programme, your Longridge course leader would meet with you to discuss your objectives from the experience and devise a programme that fulfils your criteria. A sample of programmes we offer is as follows:

Dynamite Leadership

A full day’s course designed to encourage increased confidence and develop leadership skills. Start the day with an introduction to the course and orientation of site by your Longridge course leader. The first activities are gentle land-based ice breaking activities, then following a short break we move on to a leadership skills project on the land and then after lunch two water-based activities.

This course can be expanded into two days to give a more intensive result.

Co-operative Teams

A day’s team programme that encourages groups to devise methods to work with and amongst a team and use co-operative methods to solve conflicts and challenges. Following an introduction from your Longridge course leader an ice-breaking activity would be followed with the first team challenge.

Example: Escape from the island

This involves the team working together to build a raft out of objects they can find on the island and then attempt to paddle it to freedom

Following lunch provided in our café, groups will move onto challenging team exercises.

Example : Millennium Bridge

In this exercise the team have to cross a 10 metre gap without touching the floor using a limited amount of equipment

This course works well as a two-day event with Dynamite Leadership.
