Instructor Postions

We are now recruting instructors for our 2012 season and are seeking seasonal instructors from March to October.  We offer accommodation, good salaries and meals as well obviously as a fantastic working environment and supportive team.  Applicants should have either BCU or RYA coaching qualifications.  We will also consider applications from coaches who would like to work here part-time or for part of the year in a freelance or volunteer capacity.  To apply to join the Longridge Team contact our Chris Milbank at Longridge. Cafe Coordinator / Cook

We are seeking someone with lots of enthusiasm and catering energy to run our small but vibrant onsite Cafe, that provides meals to our staff as well as our visitors.  You will need to be able to demonstrate that you can cook, understand the importance of health and hygiene in a commercial environment and be brimming with ideas on how we can make our Cafe a really special place.  If you would like to find out more email amanda.foister@longridge.org.uk or tel: 01628 483252 ext 204.

BCU Specialist Instructors - volunteers

We are always seeking specialist instructors with an enthusiasm for inspiring young people, who would like to work as part of the Longridge team at available times. Our specialist instructors must at a minimum a Level 1 BCU Instructor.

Applicants will need to be 18+. If required, we can provide accommodation in our self-contained team accommodation and meals from our café;

Crew Member - Voluntary Post

Responsible to the Crew Manager

Purpose : To assist as asked with the Crew project and Longridge site upkeep for the appointed crew weekend. Site upkeep include catering, grounds & paths, maintaining essential site services and if necessary car parking.

Main Responsibilities

Duties of Crew Member (include but not limited to)

  • Working with the support of the site management team (crew manager, duty manager) to ensure adequate staffing cover to enable safe running of the Longridge facility for the duration of the crew appointed weekend.
  • Work with the direction of the management team (crew manager, catering manager) to ensure sufficient catering cover for the weekend.
  • Work with crew team within project parameters on all crew projects.
  • Ensure public areas are maintained in a clean presentable condition.
  • Ensure site health and safety standards are maintained.
  • Encourage other crew members to act within the site rules and code of conduct.
  • Ensure crew manager has current contact and skill details.
  • Ensure new crewmembers are made welcome and receive appropriate training.
  • Record work undertaken in maintenance schedule book.
